my long lost friend (click to read more)
Dear Long-Lost Friend,
Remember when my boss did not allow me to travel on 21st March due to office work and then you suggested me to leave Mumbai for hometown on bike on 23rd March morning and I did.
Let me tell you- I was a bit sceptical about it but I am glad that I left, and it was one of the craziest bike rides, I’ve ever had.
For better educational purposes, I had to leave you all and our hometown 10 years ago. I was not mature back then, but you were.
You were also my best friend among all. Gradually our bond started to take hit. We used to talk every alternate day, but now just to know about each other’s whereabouts. Atleast I agree that we lost the spark of our friendship.
After looking at the situation in China and UAE- I was sure that the lockdown is going to get extended for the coming few months. On 22nd March night, when you asked me to come home- I had second thoughts. Because being an introvert, it is always difficult for me to adjust with all new people.
However, you never failed to make me feel special in the last 4 months. Be it- when you were cooking new food items every day and I was cleaning all the utensils or when you were washing clothes and I was wiping the floor. I loved each bit of it.
You are a homemaker and to rub salt in the wound- Tata Sky connection stopped working. You won my heart all over again when you just sat in my room and looked at me for hours while I was working/attending meetings. Well, I would still argue that you used to spend time in my room because it has a better mobile network.
Among all the memories, the few I remember are,
- when we discussed- if both people in the relationship are unsure then how to take a decision?
- or when we discussed- what is compromise?
- or when we discussed- why socializing is important?
- or when we discussed- what makes sense in maintaining relations?
- or when you shared your college memories!
- or when you asked me about my lady love!
- and the most memorable one- when we were arguing about your relationship with my bride to be!!
There was not a single day in the last 4 months- we did not argue or had a verbal spat. But I guess, it was all necessary. Atleast to understand each other better and I am so happy that I got my long-lost friend back.
There is so much more to write, but I'll end this letter here. I don't want you to get bored with my stories.
Love you Maa!!
Yours,
Bachha

Super. .The bestest and long lasting true friend
