I remember having a dream that papa found out about this diary. I must change its hiding place now. But, maa knows my every place. What if they find this out? My secrets are in this diary.. I must burn this. I don’t see any other option. Today when I was praying- I asked bappa to protect my diary. Hope he listens to me.
I’m good at Hindi, but maa always forces me to go to Hindi tuition. I wanted to bunk it today. Dadi always supports me in bunking these classes. I’d have studied maths. It’s difficult. Maa says- I must do whatever she asks me to do. But this time I didn’t want to.
I did not see didi at home today morning. Dadi said that didi had some work to complete before college. I don’t understand when she sleeps. She keeps on talking on the phone at night for hours and also wakes up on time. I know- she has a boyfriend. But, she says no. She brings dairymilk chocolate every week from her pocket money. This time it's been 10 days without chocolate. I don't want to tell her secret to maa.
It was idli-sambar for breakfast today. Everyone loves it. So, maa didn’t make any other dish for lunch. In tiffin too it was idli-sambar. I had extra idli and chutney in tiffin today. Sani and Rakesh too like mom made idli.
Today, I arrived late to school. Riksha wale chacha dropped us half an hour before. But, I was playing outside the school with Rakesh. We didn’t realise the time. After prayer- me, Rakesh and 4 other boys from different classes were given punishment to clean the school ground. I was scared initially. Thank you bappa- they didn’t call papa.
Today also- during the lunch break- Sani’s friends were asking her to have lunch with them. She never goes. In addition to that, I had idli for her. I told her during the second lecture by passing the chit.
I didn’t do maths homework today. At lunch time, Rakesh and Sani helped me to complete it. I copied it from Sani’s answer book. She’s always so sweet to me. She told me once- her papa has asked her to hangout less with me and Rakesh. But she always finds excuses. She’s smart too.
In the school- only Rakesh and Sani know that I like Pari. She’s very beautiful. Rakesh agrees with me but Sani says- she’s no good to me. I must bribe Sani to talk to Pari. Afterall, Pari is Sani’s bench mate’s best friend.
Post school- at maths tuition, as usual I didn’t understand anything. Rakesh and Sani always help me. Maybe during the weekend- I’ll ask both of them to teach me.
When I came back home- dadi, papa, maa and didi were sitting in a living room. Everyone was so serious. Later I asked dadi- she told me they were talking about didi’s marriage. But didi says no. Papa was very angry. Didi was very upset. Post lunch I asked maa about this. Maa says- I’m not a big boy to talk about all this. Now, in the morning she told me that I’m a big boy. Now, she says- I’m not a big boy. I guess, maa is confused.
We had lunch very quietly today. Everyone was upset. Post lunch, in our room- I asked didi about marriage. She already was crying. Then she hugged me very tightly. I guess, she doesn’t want to get married yet. She also has a boyfriend na. Didi did not speak with her friends today. Maa came to console her, but Didi was in no mood to listen. She slept while crying. I'll bring dairymilk for her tomorrow from my pocket money.
I hope tomorrow everyone behaves normally. Last time when papa and maa were fighting- it was the same atmosphere at home. I don’t like it.
